  1. 10TH JULY!!

    Hornets senior players and coaches invite you and your family to enjoy HORNETS BIG FAMILY FUN DAY!

    The club is undergoing a big shake up with a new coaching team and a brand new feel to the club and we want you to be a part of it. All we need is you to come down and lend a hand to revamp and help pave the way for the up and coming season. We need many hands to make light work of the duties before the fun day can begin. The club will be opening from 9am for volunteers and light refreshments will be available so come on down. Please feel free to come and lend a hand . The morning will consist of diy and general maintenance tasks within the club and grounds to bring the club to life once again. Old clothes are advisable for the morning session as it could become a little messy. We hope to do this to improve OUR club as it will benefit your fun at the hornets.

    Now the rewards for your hard work, from 1pm we will be hosting a family fun day. This will consist of: for the younger generation (and big kids)

    Ÿ Sumo outfits

    Ÿ Gladiator pudal sticks

    Ÿ Inflatable boxing

    Ÿ Bouncy castle

    All activities will be fully staffed and monitored for child safety throughout the afternoon by senior players and social committee. The equipment will be available all day including the morning session for the children to enjoy whilst us adults pull our weight. There will be NO CHARGE for the above equipment. There may be a small charge for other events (minimal).

    Now for willing participants we are holding our first annual inter club rounders tournament with prizes and trophies for the winning teams, there will be two different tournaments going on at the same time consisting of a mini and junior league and a senior league with the two top tems playing of in the final showdown. Teams will comprise of a maximum of seven players and mkinuimum of five players per team.£2 per person or £12 for a team of seven, each team must have a team name and fancy dress is optional (at your own risk). There will be a team form behind the bar at the club and for any further information please don't hesitate to call the club or speak to john at any time. Money will be due on the day or anytime before however we need to know numbers beforehand so please write your team name and captain down with a contact number on the sheet found behind the bar at the club.

    The bar will be open from 11am and there will be a bbq all day providing burgers and hotdogs at a low buget cheap as chips price.

  2. The end of season presentation for the Under 9's is to take place at 6.00pm on Sunday 9th May at the club.

    for the under 9's please wear your club shirts or white shirts if you dont have one.

  4. events coming to Hornets include 28th March county 10s festival then 18th April for the mini's section end of season festival.

    Seniors are organising a sevens tournament in May and we have lots of club presentations going on for achievements throughout this season.

    If anyone has skills in construction or engineering or electrics please let Baz collings know as he is trying to arrange funding and building of floodlights to replace our existing set up, If you know potential sponsors or helpers give me their details, may also need a planner as I am unsure about if we need planning permission to upgrade our current set up. We hope to make the lighting sufficient to play night games under and therefor raise extra revenue for the club which in turn will help us to improve our facilities for all club members.
